  • When God's Patience Runs Out.

Have you ever experienced this phenomenon .  Do you remember the scripture in Deuteronomy 3:25 & 26? This is where Moses asked God again if He would allow him to go into the Promised Land. This was the Lord's answer to Moses' question, "Enough of that! Speak no more to Me of this matter." In the next verse God says to Moses that, "you will not cross over this Jorden."

I don't know how many times Moses had asked God this question, but it is obvious that it must have been more than once. My understanding from these verses is that there is a time when God will get angry with us if we continue asking Him to allow us to do something when He has said no.

I actually experienced this when I kept asking Him to help me get a job some time back. I had lost my Teacher's Aide position and was not happy about it. The reason I was given was 'lack of funding'.  I really wanted another position the same.  I left my resume at a number of schools in the area and had no replies. Finally I tried for different types of positions, and still received nothing.  I kept asking God to please help me get another job.

Then one day when I was praying, I knew that He was not pleased with me and did not dare ask Him again.

I  am still without a job and that was over a year ago now.  I felt that God wanted me to just spend some time cultivating my relationship with Him, learning to trust Him for what we need.  It has not been easy for me and over the past few days I have again been feeling that I should be doing something.

Then in my reading this morning in Luke 12:22 - 34.  This is the section about not worrying about what you should wear, eat etc. Consider the lilies of the field .........  but to seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.

Obviously I still have to learn to trust Him more and know that He will provide all our needs in His own way.

Maybe it will be another job eventually, I don't know, my times are in His hands.

  • Jesus Rose of all Roses

You are the Rose of Sharon,

You are the bright and morning star,

You are the One my heart longs for,

    The precious Lamb of God,

    The Lover of my soul,

The joy of my hearts desiring,

The one and only Lord of my life,

               Forever mine.

No rose could be as beautiful,

    No sunrise more glorious,

    No heart so tender,

    No grief more agonizing,

    No light more brilliant,

Nay my Lord, no-one or anything,

Could understand my every feeling, better than You.

  • What did man lose when he fell in the garden?

On Sunday I was asked this question.................

What did man lose when he fell in the garden?

Certainly he lost his innocence and the privilege of living in the beauty of the garden.

I think that the most devastating thing that he lost was the privilege of being able to share God's heart. Adam walked with God and was able to share his heart with Him face to face.  How wonderful to be able to walk with God in the cool of the day, sharing with Him as you would with a special friend here on earth.

I know that we can have an intimate relationship with Him even now if we will take the time to do it, but that is not the same as being able to walk and share your heart and have Him share His heart with you face to face.

We have so many blockages and baggage which make unhindered communion with Him not easy unless you are willing to lay everything down that hinders that communion.  Imagine how wonderful it would if we had none of those blockages.

What are your thoughts on this subject?

  • At the End of the Day

'Tis at the end of the day,

When we wearily wend our way home,

To the place where we will find,

    Love.......

            Faith......

                   Rest......

'Tis at the end of the day

When we see the glorious beauty of the sunset.

"Tis at theend of the day,

    When the soft darkness falls,

Ane the  birds hush their singing,

That we can feel the peace after a day well spent.

When we can rest from our labours,

    And take time to reflect.

'Tis at the end of the day,

    When all becomes still,

That we can spend time with our Lord.

That precious time when we can allow Him to ...................

              Refresh

                   and renew

For a new day wil dawn tomorrow

    When we will be busy

    Rushing hither and thither.

But when again comes the end of the day,

Take time out to commune with your God,

For in Him you will find your rest

               and your strength,

    To take on tomorrow ,

    His will to perform.

How important is it to you to spend time with Jesus?   Do you make some time in your day just to take time out to

be with Him?  Is it the most important and precious part of your day?  It was to Him.  He would spend time

alone with His Father when here on earth.  This is where He found  His strength to carry on, this is where He

received His instructions for the next day.  This is where He was refreshed, this is where He received the power

to do His Father's will.  If  Jesus needed to spend time alone with His Father every day, how much more do we.

If you would like to be my friend, please just send me a comment. Has anyone got any thoughts about the 'Revival' happening in Lakeland. If so I would like to see them, especially if you have been to the meetings and have been healed. Let what you feel spiritually about the meetings. Thanks, dora
